Fish Hut in Savannah

The food is great and the service is excellent. The girls are so friendly.

My husband and I stumbled upon this place while visiting our friends. Food was great! Friendly staff. When over in this area again will definitely stop in again.

Great food (hot and fresh) and friendly, hardworking staff! The only issue that I had was, the entire restaurant seemed discombobulated. People just meander in and sit wherever...we (2 of us) sat at a table that had yet to be cleaned.The waitress was not prompt, but it wasn't her fault. She was stretched thin and doing things that weren't even her job. She took our order and the wait was substantial...overall, we were there for well over an hour.I went to pay my ticket and there was no order to the "line," whatsoever. People were picking up to go orders, and it seemed as if whoever leaped toward the counter was next. I had two people jump in front of me. This place only needs a little organization, and it would only make the experience better.Oh, and they need REAL lemons! I asked for a couple of wedges of lemon for my fish, and I was directed to the individual packets of imitation lemon juice. Yuck!

Great Cajun catfish strips. Homemade pies. Burgers.... fabulous. Eat in, carry out. Casual dinner.

Would give a 0 star if possible. Unwilling to accommodate an anaphalactic food allergy. Request was for PLAIN grilled instead of fried and the response was... 'sorry, can't change any of the items.' Even though both were on the menu as single choices but the combo would only be made in fried. We will never go back because with this type of attitude how could they be trusted with a food allergy.

Good Food

The catfish was ok. The server was ok. A little generic like a robot, but ok none the less. Won't go there for a while. The steaks will be what I eat.

I do not see how this place could have a good review?, I was recommended to this place and thought I would give it a try. Worse fish I have had. Would not and will not be back!

Great food and wonderful pies

This was my favorite restaurant for many years . BUT they have a new cook now ! For the last three times fish wasn't done told them extra well done wasn't done around the bone . last week I ordered a grill cheese because the cook didn't know how to cook fish ! The grill cheese was burned to a crisp ! So tonight I order fish well done and I told waitress if it wasn't done I was going to send it back and I wasn't going to pay for it was so guess what ! Raw around the Bone ! So guess what I had to drive a little farther went to Haggies GREAT FISH WORTH THE DRINK !

I love eating here and also to take an order to go. Great service, wonderful food! Mini tables inside to set. Also plenty of Spacious parking area,and access to a handicap ramp. Warm welcomes and plenty of smiles.

Was from out of town and learned this town is Catfish Capital. Knew we had to have catfish for dinner and stumbled across this place. Loved it! Great service!

The food is wonderful, and reasonably priced as well. The staff is very respectful and thoughtful, they will go out of their way to help you out. My grandmother just loves The Fish Hut, and she has gotten me to loving it too. The location is pretty good, right in the center of Savannah, between Tractor Supply and Wendy's. I will definitely be eating here in the future! Great restaurant!!

Nice people and good food

Awesome little place and although it's called the Fish Hut I had one of the greatest steaks I've ever had so give it a try if you like a family centered relaxed country atmosphere and great service and food! Bring cash btw they don't take plastic! Cheers.

Wow! We were passing through and stumbled on this amazing place. All the cars / trucks in the parking lot were a true sign. This is a REAL catfish place. Hush puppies, fries, onions. Sure good. When in Savannah, have to stop here...
